Our Story

Williams Flooring Carpet One Floor & Home started as a local family-owned business in the 1960s, founded by Mr. Red Williams at the very location we proudly occupy today. Decades later, in 1980, the business was sold to a new generation—Red’s nephew, Jimmy Cauthen, along with Jimmy’s son, Dennis. Jimmy remained a key figure behind the scenes while Dennis and his wife Teresa took the reins, growing the family business with dedication and care.

A significant milestone came in 2001 when Williams Flooring joined the Carpet One Co-Op, allowing us to expand our reach and offerings. Tragedy struck in 2011 when Dennis suddenly passed away. At that moment, Dennis's daughter, Amanda, stepped up to manage the business, continuing the family legacy of excellence. By 2016, Amanda officially became the 3rd generation owner, manager, and president of Williams Flooring Carpet One. Her leadership embodies a commitment to innovation and tradition, ensuring that the store her family built thrives in the Lancaster community.
